Milindia was started in 1968, to serve the Soaps, Detergents and Allied Industry, by our founder Mr. K.S.Krishnan, a Technologist devoted to the Industry. Mr. K.S.Krishnan has background in Industrial Chemistry. He has done his M.Sc (Tech) from Banaras Hindu University and was a Tata Merit Scholar – passed in 1948. He started his career with Kusum Products Ltd. Kolkata for 19 years. In 1977, having developed designs of modern soap making machines Mr. Krishnan set up an modern engineering workshop in the name of K.S.Krishnan Associates(P) Ltd. to manufacture and supply these Plant. K.S.Krishnan Associates (P) Ltd. and the Erstwhile G. Mazzoni S.p.A., Italy formed Mazzindia as a Joint Venture Company in 1986 and became the Managing Director of the company. He has travelled to U.S.A, Europe, Japan, Africa, Far East, for various Industrial visits / Conferences / Projects on Detergents, Soaps, Fatty Acids, Glycerine, and Oil Processing. He is Member of American Oil Chemists Society and also handled the post of Vice President of Oil Technologists Association of India, North Zone, New Delhi.

Since 1989, the company's helm of affairs was handed over to Mr. Shridhar Krishnan (Son of Mr. K.S.Krishnan). Mr. Shridhar Krishnan too like his father has vast experience in this industry. He had many successful stints at leading soap and detergent manufacturer in U.S.A, U.K, France, Germany and Switzerland. He has participated in lot of subject specific courses and conferences around the world. He has trained a number of Engineers and Mechanics for production of Modern Machinery for Soap, Detergents, Fatty Acids and Glycerine. He has directed many Multi-Million Dollar projects in India and overseas. As Managing Director of the company, Mr. Shridhar Krishnan has spearheaded in company's expansion programs and modernisation of facilities and contributed in taking the company to greater heights with all the support and active participation of all its employees.

Mr. Shridhar Krishnan is well renowned and respected person in the industry. This joint venture with G. Mazzoni S.p.A., Italy was terminated in 1991 when G. Mazzoni S.P.A. was liquidated. From that time on Mazzindia, renamed as MILINDIA, operates in the area of Soap & Detergent Plant & Machinery based on its own proven know-how.
